Introduction: Breakfast is considered as the important meal of the day. Some college-going students skip breakfast thinking that it reduces body mass index (BMI), but some studies show that breakfast skipping increases BMI. Some other researchers give negative results. Therefore, we are going to analyze the awareness on the effects of skipping breakfast among adolescents. The study was conducted by an online questionnaire survey among a group of 102 adolescents. Breakfast habit (consumed vs. skipped), their exercising habit, socioeconomic status, and health consciousness were obtained. Materials and Methods: This was a questionnaire-based study. A form was circulated among 102 participants under the age of adolescents which included questions regarding their awareness about the effects of skipping breakfast and their personal opinion on skipping breakfast and whether or not they faced any side effects after skipping breakfast. Results were obtained using proper statistical methods, and thus, the awareness on the effects of skipping breakfast among adolescents was studied.Result: From the data, it is clear that there is adequate awareness about the effects of skipping breakfast even though the students mostly skip their breakfast because of their busy scheduled lifestyle. Conclusion: The statistical results of this survey pointed to the fact that majority of the people (especially under the age of adolescents) are not taking their breakfast regularly. Moreover, there is an adverse effect on their health. The most commonly faced effects are fainting and loss of concentration.
