    Aim: The aim of the study was to analysis on the effect of swimming among the children undergoing orthodontic treatments. Introduction: Dental braces are devices used in orthodontic that align and straighten the teeth and help to position them with regard to a person’s bite, while also aiming to improve the dental health. They are often used to correct underbites, as well as malocclusion, overbites, open bites, deep bites, crossbite, crooked teeth, and various other flaws of the teeth and jaw. Braces can be either cosmetic or structural. Orthodontic braces are often used in conjunction with other orthodontic appliances to help widen the palate or jaws and to otherwise assist in shaping the teeth and jaws. Materials and Methods: It includes a questionnaire-based study. The survey was conducted among 100 healthy children’s undergoing orthodontics treatment as well as going for swimming regularly, and the data were collected and statistically analyzed. The survey was conducted through survey planet. Results: Nearly 40–50% of children do not encounter any breathing difficulties with braces. Whereas, after swimming, 57% of children found tiredness on the jaw and scratches on lips and cheeks due to pressure. Furthermore, 55% of children face the problem when water flows in between braces and teeth, which disturbs or distracts them during the swimming. Conclusion: The survey has created awareness on the effects of swimming among the children undergoing orthodontic treatments and this survey evidence that children who regularly swim found some minor problems due to the orthodontic braces.
