    Introduction: The human skull is considered as one of the most reliable bones for the assessment of several studies and evaluation therein. The inner surface of the skull bone has numerous features referred as impressions formed by underlying soft tissues. One among them is the impressions formed by the brain on the inner surface of the calvarial bone. Such impressions formed by the cerebral and cerebellar gyri are termed as impressiones gyrorum cerebri and cerebelli. Hence, the present study was carried out with the aim to study the sequence in appearance and disappearance of impressiones gyrorum cerebri on calvarial bone. Materials and Methods: Dry human skull vaults were obtained from the Department of Anatomy, Saveetha Dental and Hospitals, Chennai. A total of 50 skull vaults were analyzed morphologically for the presence, prominence, length and the location of impressiones gyrorum cerebri on the inner surface of skull vault. Results: An overall mean for these parameters was calculated using the data obtained. Values were found for impressiones gyrorum cerebri. The raw data obtained were statistically analyzed. Range, mean, standard deviation, and standard error of mean were determined for each parameter. All values were compared with a series of other workers to draw the conclusions. Conclusion: The intensity in appearance of juga is partly influenced by the increasing thickness of the diploe. Knowledge of the anatomical parameters of the calvaria is of immense importance to the neurosurgeons.
