    Aim: Meditation is a mental discipline in which a practitioner put an attempt to get beyond the reflexive thinking mind and into an intense state of relaxation. Meditation is a practice in which an individual trains his mind or induces a mode of consciousness to allow the mind to involve within peaceful thoughts. Meditation is often used to clear the mind, reduce stress. It also promotes relaxation and trains the mind. The objective of this research is making people take care of their health by practicing meditation. The main aim of this study is to assess the role of yoga asana meditation in reducing stress. Materials and Methods: A total of 30 people aged between 15 and 25 from were selected as sample population from 100 people and mean value for total score of perceived stress scale (PSS) for sample population before doing meditation regularly was calculated, and they were requested to do meditation 1 time a day. The sample population was monitored regularly. After 1 month, the sample population was asked to answer questions in PSS ones more. Based on their answer, mean value of sample population after practicing meditation for 1 month was calculated. Results: The data collected were tabulated in the graph. Before practicing meditation, 40% of sample population had high perceived stress, and 60% had moderate stress. After doing meditation for 1 month, the impact on sample population was that only 10% had high perceived stress and 90% had moderate stress, and none of the sample population had low stress. Conclusion: After analyzing we can say that meditation has an active effect in reducing high perceived stress to moderate stress.
