    Aim: The purpose of the study is a hygienic and ergonomic assessment of working conditions and occupational hazards, the analysis of stress level, and psychoemotional stress among the dentists of various specialization profiles during the process of work activity. Materials and Methods: The studies were conducted on the basis of five municipal polyclinics of the city of Volgograd. The information base of the study was compiled by the following data: 66 cards of workplace certification, the questioning of 82 dentists, and taking into account the age and the period of respondent service. Results: The results of hygienic and ergonomic characteristic study concerning the working conditions of dentists are presented. An additional analysis and the assessment of the stress level among 46 dentists of different specialization profiles were carried out: 47.8% of them are general practitioners, 32.6% are orthopedists, and 19.6% are dentist-surgeons. Conclusions: The study revealed that most of the surveyed in the course of practical work are exposed to a wide range of negative production factors and stress, which requires further study and development of preventive measures to reduce the psychological stress and preserve the health of dental professionals.
