    Antioxidants act as a major defense against radicalmediated toxicity by protecting the damages caused by free radicals. The medicinal properties of plants have been a center of attraction of the researchers in the recent scientific developments throughout the world,due to their potent antioxidant activities, no side effects, and economic viability. [8] The present study has been designed to investigate the in vitro antioxidant potential of Ficus bengalensis Linn. roots.
