    Aim: A study of antibacterial activity of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) synthesized using amla fruit against oral pathogens. Introduction: Nanotechnology has offered great possibilities in various fields of science and technology. It has been playing crucial role in the development of modern materials in recent years. The antifungal activity of ZnO occurs by the deformation of fungal hyphae and preventing the development of conidiophores, leading to the death of fungal hyphae causing cellular destruction. Materials and Methods: Preparation of plant extract, synthesis of NPs, characteristics of NPs, preparation of NPs powder, and antibacterial activity of NPs oral pathogens are used. Results and Discussion: The peak found in the spectroscopy indicates the formation of ZnO NP. From the above graph in Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas, the zone of inhibition increases with increase in concentration. In Streptococcus mutans, the zone of inhibition decreases with increase in concentration. Conclusion: The results conclude that ZnO NP can be used to prevent any antibacterial diseases.
