    Background: Narcotic substance use and addiction are most important worldwide problems.It is a compulsive, out-of- control drug use, despite negative consequences, and which results in withdrawal upon termination of drug use. Addiction has great effects on the individual, and the accumulative outcome on humanity are astounding. The study aims to investigate the frequency of common 12 narcotic drugs using DOA-12 panel. Materials and Methods: A total of 194 urine samples are collected from 194 male (mean age±SD, 32.216±10.552) from Baghdad, Babylon, AlMuthana and Dhi QarGovernorates. The samples are collected from addicted males, residential at police station due to addiction, under permission and control of police officer. Urine were collected and directly immerse the multidrug device according to instruction of producer. Results: The results reveal high record of suspected addiction. Theyarein Babylon, 101 (52.06%), Baghdad 43(22.16%), Al-Muthana 28(14.43%) and Dhi Qar22(11.34%). The results showed that, the positive addiction is 49(25%) for seven types of drugs. Concerning the highly prevalence of narcotic drug, the results revealed that amphetamine (AMP) compile 36(73.48%) , 5(10.20%) for benzodiazepines (BZD), 3(6.12%),tricyclic antidepressant (TCA), 2(4.08%) phencyclidine (PCP) and 1(2.04%) for Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), Buprenorphine (BUP) and methamphetamine (METH). AMP is common in all provinces except Dhi Qar while THC and BUP are recorded only in Dhi Qar. BZD abuse is in all provinces except Al-Muthana, TCA is only found in Babylon and Baghdad, PCP and METH appear only in Babylon. Conclusions: The current study conclude the age group (mean+SD) of drug addiction is the same among the different geographical regions and the amphetamine is hugely used among Babylon addicted people (commercially called CRYSTAL).
