Abstract
Introduction:Abutilon indicum is a small shrub grown in the tropical and subtropical regions of Asia. It is used in the treatment of leprosy, ulcers, headaches, gonorrhea, and other bladder infections. Aim: This study aims to analyze the bacterial growth inhibitory potential of A. indicum seeds on the bacteria of our study. Materials and Methods:The method used in this study to analyze the bacterial growth inhibitory potential is minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) test. The bacteria taken for this study is Streptococcus mutans. Results and Discussion:The results obtained for this study show that the MIC of the given drug is 25 µg. Conclusion: The seeds of A. indicum can be used to prevent dental caries and for having better oral hygiene.
