Aim: This study aims to evaluate the antifungal activities of juice and decoction of cabbage leaves (Brassica oleracea var. Capitata) against Candida albicans. Materials and Methods: Decoction was done by boiling fresh cabbage leaves until it reached a temperature of 90°C for 30 min. For the juice, it was prepared using blender and pasteurized for 30 min at 65–70°C. Both of the samples were diluted to serial dilutions and tested against the standardized C. albicans inoculum with final fungal concentrations of 103 cfu/mL using the agar diffusion method. To measure the antifungal strength of both samples, clotrimazole was used as a comparative antifungal agent. Results and Discussion: Among the juice and decoction of cabbage leaves, all concentrations of juice in dilutions ranging from 80% to 20% w/v produced inhibitory zones against C. albicans; meanwhile, the decoction showed no antifungal activity at all. The antifungal strength of the juice was 1:232.49 compared to clotrimazole. Conclusion: The juice blend of cabbage leaves in concentrate may have potential antifungal roles that can be utilized in candidiasis infection.
